Ingredients

2 ripe avocados, diced

1 ripe mango, diced

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cumin for a smoky flavor

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Start by dicing the avocados and mango into small, uniform pieces. Make sure your avocado is perfectly ripe for the best flavor. Finely chop the red onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño, and have everything ready in a bowl.

Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the diced avocados, mango, red onion, red bell pepper, and minced jalapeño. Be gentle to avoid mashing the avocados.

Add Seasoning: Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the mixture. This not only adds flavor but also helps prevent the avocados from browning. Add salt and pepper to taste, and if you’re using it, sprinkle in the ground cumin.

Mix Well: Using a spatula, carefully fold everything together until well mixed but still chunky. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more lime juice or salt to your liking.

Chill: For maximum flavor, let the salsa chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve: Serve the Avocado Mango Salsa in a bowl, garnished with extra cilantro if desired, alongside tortilla chips, grilled fish, or as a topping for tacos.
