To achieve the best melting results and enhance the flavor distribution in your Baked Brie & Cranberry Crescent Twists, the way you cut the Brie is essential. Start by ensuring your Brie is at room temperature; this allows for better melting. Place the cheese on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to slice it into smaller, even pieces. Cut the Brie into strips approximately one inch wide and half an inch thick. This size will allow the cheese to melt uniformly while providing each twist with a rich, creamy bite. Additionally, ensure that your cuts are clean to prevent the cheese from sticking to the knife, which can lead to uneven melting.

Ingredients

1 (8 oz) wheel of Brie cheese

1 (8 oz) package of crescent roll dough

1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon honey (for drizzling)

Salt and pepper to taste

Parchment paper (for baking)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Separate the triangles at the perforations.

Trim the Cheese: Cut the Brie cheese in half horizontally (optional) if you want to melt it thoroughly; this will make it ooze deliciously.

Assemble the Twists: Place a spoonful of cranberry sauce in the center of each triangle, followed by a few pieces of chopped nuts, a sprinkle of minced rosemary, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Top with a wedge of Brie.

Twist and Wrap: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll the dough around the filling, and twist it to form a spiral. Place each twist on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the twists generously with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and puffed.

Finish with Honey: Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey while they are still warm. Allow to cool slightly.

Serve: Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy the delightful combination of gooey Brie, tart cranberry, and crunchy nuts!
