At the heart of this recipe are fresh strawberries, a fruit that needs little introduction. Not only are strawberries deliciously sweet and juicy, but they are also packed with nutritional benefits. Rich in vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants, strawberries can help boost your immune system and promote heart health. When selecting strawberries, look for those that are firm, plump, and deeply colored—these are indicators of freshness and flavor. Avoid any that are bruised or have a dull appearance, as these may lack the vibrant taste you’re seeking.

Ingredients

1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

2 tbsp honey (more to taste)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup granola (optional, for crunch)

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Wooden skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut them in half. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning (if grilling).

Make the Yogurt Dip: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Taste and add more honey if you desire extra sweetness.

Assemble the Skewers: On each skewer or toothpick, thread one half of a strawberry, followed by a dollop of the yogurt mixture. Repeat this pattern until the skewer is filled, leaving space at the bottom for easy handling. Aim for 3-4 strawberries per skewer.

Chill: Once all the skewers are assembled, place them on a serving platter and cover them with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and to chill.

Serve: Before serving, sprinkle the assembled skewers with granola for added texture. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and added flavor. Serve chilled and enjoy!
