For the Bread:

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For Topping (Optional):

1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Powdered sugar for dusting

Prepare the Oven and Pans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray or butter, and set aside.

    Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well-combined.

      Combine the Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and salt.

        Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix just until incorporated—do not overmix. The batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.

          Prepare the Cinnamon Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the swirl. Then, separately melt the butter and mix it into the cinnamon sugar until it resembles a paste.

            Assemble the Bread: Pour half of the pumpkin batter into the prepared loaf pan. Then, spoon half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter. Use a knife to gently swirl it into the batter.
