Ingredients

8 corn tortillas

1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for brushing)

1 teaspoon taco seasoning (optional, for added flavor)

Salt to taste

Cooking spray (for greasing the air fryer basket)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Start by preheating your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Tortillas: Lightly brush each corn tortilla with olive oil on both sides for extra crispiness. If you prefer a lighter option, you can skip the oil.

Season: If desired, sprinkle taco seasoning over the tortillas for an added touch of flavor. Make sure to season both sides evenly.

Shape the Tortillas: To create taco shapes, fold each tortilla in half and use toothpicks or a taco rack to hold them in place if they're open. You can also use an upside-down muffin tin to mold them.

Spray the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Air Fry the Tortillas: Place the shaped tortillas in the air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd them; you can do this in batches if necessary. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for about 6-8 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through for even cooking.

Cool: Once done, remove the taco shells and let them cool for a couple of minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

Serve: Fill your crispy taco shells with your favorite fillings like seasoned ground beef, shredded chicken, beans, or fresh veggies. Top with cheese, salsa, guacamole, or any toppings you love!
