Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)

1 cup diced apples (fresh or canned, drained)

1 cup granola (your favorite kind)

1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, applesauce, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are well-integrated.

Add Apples: Gently fold the diced apples into the yogurt mixture, ensuring that they are evenly distributed throughout.

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch (or similar size) baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some paper to hang over the edges for easy removal later.

Layer the Mixture: Pour the yogurt and apple mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.

Add Granola: Sprinkle the granola evenly over the top of the yogurt mixture. If desired, add the chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.

Freeze: Place the baking dish in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen solid, remove the dish from the freezer. Use the overhanging parchment paper to lift the yogurt slab out of the dish. Transfer to a cutting board and slice into bars or squares.

Enjoy: Serve immediately or store the slices in an airtight container in the freezer for a refreshing treat anytime!
