Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup dried figs, chopped

1/2 cup slivered almonds

Zest of 1 lemon

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Optional: Fresh figs and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Prepare the Figs: Chop the dried figs into small pieces. This will help distribute the flavor throughout the yogurt mixture.

Combine Ingredients: Gently fold the chopped figs and slivered almonds into the yogurt mixture. Make sure everything is evenly distributed.

Season: Add sea salt to enhance the flavors and stir gently to combine.

Line the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking dish or a similar-sized container with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easier removal later.

Pour the Mixture: Pour the yogurt mixture into the lined baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Freeze: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid, and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen, remove the yogurt slab from the dish using the parchment overhang. Cut into slices or squares.

Garnish (Optional): For a refreshing touch, add slices of fresh figs on top and sprinkle with mint leaves just before serving.

Enjoy: Serve the frozen yogurt slices as a healthy dessert or snack that your friends and family will love!
