Ingredients

1 ciabatta roll, halved

3 slices of prosciutto

3 slices of salami

3 slices of aged cheddar cheese

3 slices of goat cheese

1/4 cup fig jam

1/4 cup mixed olives (pitted and chopped)

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

Black pepper, to taste

Optional: arugula or spinach leaves

Instructions

Prepare the Bread: Start by cutting the ciabatta roll in half. Lightly brush the insides of both halves with olive oil to enhance flavor and assist in grilling.

    Layer the Ingredients:

      - On the bottom half of the ciabatta, spread the fig jam evenly.

        - Layer the prosciutto and salami slices on top of the jam, followed by the cheddar cheese and goat cheese.

          - Sprinkle the chopped olives and fresh rosemary over the cheese layers.

            - If using, add a handful of arugula or spinach for a pop of freshness.

              - Finish by seasoning with a touch of black pepper.

Assemble the Sandwich: Place the top half of the ciabatta roll onto the layered ingredients, pressing down gently to secure everything in place.

                  Grill the Sandwich:

                    - Preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium heat. Lightly grease it with olive oil or cooking spray.

                      - Once hot, place the sandwich on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, or until the bread is golden and the cheese begins to melt.

                        - Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes.

Rest & Slice: Once both sides are beautifully grilled and the cheese is gooey, remove the sandwich from the grill. Let it rest for 2 minutes before slicing it into halves or quarters for easy handling.

Serve: Plate the grilled Charcuterie Board Sandwich with a side of extra olives or a small dish of fig jam for dipping if desired. Enjoy with a refreshing beverage!
