Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium)

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Lemon wedges and fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon, reserving the other half for glazing later. Let the salmon marinate for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature.

Sear the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 2-3 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Transfer to the Oven: Using a spatula, transfer the seared salmon fillets back to the lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the reserved marinade and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Final Glaze: For extra glaze, turn on the broiler and broil the salmon for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Serve the maple glazed salmon with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for brightness.
