2 cups rolled oats

1 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans), chopped

½ cup sunflower seeds

½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)

½ cup pure maple syrup

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon sea salt

½ cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

¼ cup dried fruits (cranberries, raisins, or apricots), chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare a Pan: Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal, and set aside.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, sunflower seeds, and sea salt. Stir them together until evenly mixed.

      Blend Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the nut butter, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

        Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly with a spatula or your hands until everything is evenly coated. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped dried fruits gently.

          Press and Set: Transfer the mixture to the lined baking dish. Press it down firmly and evenly into the dish using the back of a spatula or your hands – a firm press ensures that the bites will hold together when cut.

            Chill: Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the bites to set.
