Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower rice for low-carb)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup beef broth

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the beef: In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.

Season the beef: Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Add broccoli: Stir in the broccoli florets, allowing them to cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften slightly, mixing them with the beef.

Combine rice and cheeses: Reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked rice, cream cheese, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth and stir until the cream cheese is completely melted and everything is evenly combined.

Top with cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly over the mixture in the skillet. If desired, top with breadcrumbs for an extra crunchy topping.

Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
