Hot sauce is more than just a condiment; it transforms Sweet & Spicy Peach Tacos into a culinary experience. The heat from the sauce cuts through the sweetness of the peaches, creating a well-rounded flavor profile. The right hot sauce can introduce notes of garlic, vinegar, or smokiness, enhancing the overall taste while also adding depth to each bite. When selecting a hot sauce, consider one that complements the sweetness of peaches without overpowering them. A mild or medium hot sauce can elevate the flavors without overshadowing the natural juiciness of the fruit. Ingredients

4 small corn tortillas

2 ripe peaches, diced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup diced red onion

1 avocado, diced

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 lime, juiced

½ cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)

Hot sauce (optional, for extra spice)

Instructions

Prepare the Peaches: In a mixing bowl, combine the diced peaches with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and salt. Toss gently to coat the peaches evenly. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.

Grill the Peaches: Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated peaches and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are slightly charred and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

Warm the Tortillas: In the same grill pan or a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side, until they become pliable. Make sure to keep them warm by wrapping them in a clean kitchen towel.

Assemble the Tacos: Layer each tortilla with grilled peaches, followed by diced red onion, avocado, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro. If desired, add crumbled feta cheese for an extra layer of flavor.

Drizzle and Serve: Squeeze lime juice over each taco and drizzle with hot sauce if you like some heat. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
