For the Pizza Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon active dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

3/4 cup warm water (110°F)

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus:

1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 large roasted red pepper (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons tahini

1 garlic clove, minced

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Water as needed for consistency

Toppings:

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped

1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Extra olive oil for drizzling

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pizza Dough:

    - In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.

        - Mix until a dough forms, then knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

          - Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean dish towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

            Make the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus:

              - In a food processor, combine chickpeas, roasted red pepper, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil.

                - Blend until smooth, adding water tablespoon by tablespoon until desired consistency is reached.

                  - Season with salt and pepper to taste, and set aside.

                    Preheat the Oven:

                      - Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.

                        Assemble the Pizza:

                          - Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 12-inch circle or rectangle, depending on your preference.

                            - Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

                              - Spread an even layer of roasted red pepper hummus over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.

                                - Top the hummus with halved cherry tomatoes, chopped olives, and crumbled feta cheese.

                                  Bake the Pizza:

                                    - Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are heated through.

                                      - If desired, drizzle a little extra olive oil over the finished pizza once out of the oven.

                                        Garnish and Serve:

                                          - Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves.

                                            - Cut into slices and serve warm.
