Ingredients

For the Chicken Alfredo:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Garlic Bread:

1 French baguette

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

    - Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.

      - In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.

        Cook the Pasta:

          - In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.

            Make the Alfredo Sauce:

              - In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

                - Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency. Season with additional salt and pepper, to taste.

                  Combine:

                    - Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta thoroughly. Slice the chicken and arrange it atop the fettuccine.

                      Make the Garlic Bread:

                        - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

                          - Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt until combined.

                            - Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on the cut sides of the baguette. Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.

                              Serve:

                                - Plate the creamy chicken Alfredo and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with slices of warm garlic bread on the side.
